Abstract of Presentation

10 years of Clean Water for Kampong Speu
Biosand Filtration Tank Project by Oscar Ng

During her last Cambodia project in December 2010, Oscar witnessed 9 children from a single household in extreme poor health and poverty. The only source of nutrition that the mother could provide was a bowl of tree bark soup. This sparks off a determination for her to improve the fundamental condition where most children do not live beyond the age of 5. Working with Sao Sary Foundation in Phnom Penh, Oscar and her team of volunteers will return to Kampong Speu to start off the first Water Sanitation Project for the slums benefiting a minimum of 200 families in December 2011. Come and hear her progress and be part of the positive contributor to this cause.

Abstract of Presentation

From Providing Lunch For Dumpsite Kids To A Community Empowered
by Sherlyn Khong

Meanwhile she became a teacher and advocated for education and children's rights.15 years on, acts29 has a volunteer programme, full-timers on board, a birth certificate project, Dream Beyond the Dumpsite Empowerment Program, a scholarship program and a formation house for kids. Sherlyn has worked with schools and groups on mission projects and has spoken on Marginalization in various countries.
